A good watch over coffee. I can’t vouch for the accuracy of it all, though. I can’t believe that the Virgin Queen had children who kept guinea pigs. But perhaps it’s artistic licence.

If they did, they are probably buried around their home somewhere. Long time ago though. I dont know if i believe it.

I think there is an authentic painting of Elizabeth I with some kids and guinea pigs, I remember reading about it on the BBC news last year- and archaeologists have found guinea pigs buried as pets in Europe from that time period!
 
They reckon they could be called guinea, because they cost 1 guinea back then. Interesting
 
Lovely video, delivered with such confidence, many of the facts need to be taken with a pinch of salt though!

The painting is not of Elizabeth 1 or her children (she didn't have any!). It is an Elizabethan painting though, that poor bird looks like it's being squeezed to death.
