Okay, so I am a newer piggy mom and I was wondering the basics about food. I have two male cavies that are about a year old. Here are my questions, since I have a few about the same topic, I wanted to roll it all into one.

Food, How much? (How often)

Food-What kind/Brands--Biggest bag size?

Other Food- Hay and Veggies/Fruits? (How often?)

Any other Supplements or staples they need?

I noticed that my piggies eat alot! I am giving them the pellet food and Timothy hay right now, and was thinking on some veggies/fruits as well. I was wondering if people just keep their food filled constantly, I noticed that they like to flip their bowls and then will not eat what has been spilled. Are they suppose to be fed a certain amount per day? They seem to eat all of their food (or spill it) No matter how much I put in with them, it seems like every few hours or a few times a day it is empty. As well as water.

I was also wondering if there is a bigger bag size than the 5 pounds I see..anyone know of a place that has a good bulk price? ( And also What brands are the best?)

Sorry so many questions, I am just trying to make sure I get everything right. I have taken care of them in the past, but it has been awhile and things might have changed. :P

Food, How much? (How often) Hay unlimited amounts every day, pellets 30g – 50g of pellets a day and I give my boys a breakfast bowl full of veggies a day.

Food-What kind/Brands--Biggest bag size? – My boys get a large bale of hay from ym pet store £5 and lasts me around a month, as well as this they get Excel Herbage which is £4.50 a small bag I mix a small amount of this in with their hay.

Other Food- Hay and Veggies/Fruits? (How often?) – Veggies a small bowl full a day.

Any other Supplements or staples they need? Vitamin C rich veggies:

I use pellets/food which had added vitamins especially vitamin c, I half fill their bowl twice a day and then top up with some veggies. They eat all the veg and a lot of hay although the bowl is never completely empty as they always tend to leave the smaller bits in the bottom unless I leave them for longer and they want to show that they are hard done by hehe
