Bath....could Have Gone Better

Gave fudge a bath as he had poopy feet and peey belly.
Fudge escaped the bowl. Trying to grab a shampood piggy is so difficult. Got him. After a bit of wrestle. Rinsed no problems. Dried in a towel now he is in a blanket.

He is now biting at it and pulling which he has never done before.

Hope he is ok
 
I have found a good method now but the first bath was a disaster... look:

Today, too, was Calliope's bath day but now things work fine...
(and every piggie needs a different method... my piggies want very hot water, extreme silence around and no noise of water...)

Oh my gosh...my bath times have never ended up like that. What happened today seems tame compared lol
I don't know what fudge likes as I don't bath him that often...and I don't want to lol he has just become my friend again but won't leave his blanket fort lol

I'd have thought you had bathed a kitten with that picture and not a piggy. Ouch!

Worst thing I ever did was bath a kitten ( that had rolled in rotten trash) without clipping its claws first. Learned the hard way that time.
 
We only ever bath if medically needed as it stresses them out, tip for future if poo feet and bum happens (it does sometimes with pigs) then maybe just do a bum baff in a washing up bowl, so you only really get the bum area wet. soaking the feet if the poo is dried so the water only up to the feet height wise with a little piggy safe shampoo is great for dislodging dried on poo.

some days ago my neighbour washed his shepherd "puppy" (I don't know the english name, but it is similar to a Saint Bernard dog and weighs 55kg now!). I met him on the stairs, the dog was fine and happy as usual but he told me "never more"...:eek:

the problem is that my Calliope is a real PIG, the one you see at the farm... dirty is not the right word for her... it is more than dirty as she sleeps on the pepper and even on the wee during floor time... her fur was a disaster, in certain point the hair was so dry that the vet suggested me to put some special oil for newborns. Now I have found a good method and she feels fine during the (fast) bath...:) and her fur is improving. Calipso on the contrary is dirty only into her mouth...her breath sometimes smells of poo....:vom::vom::vom:
