Bath mats as bedding?

I'm currently using cotton sheets with puppy pads on top as bedding in the cage but I'm wondering if bath mats would be better.
Do bath mats dry quickly and can you get a long use out of them before having to wash?

I personally use them as pee pads over the top of waterproof fleeces. I change them every day or two. The beastie boys seem to like sleeping on them and I like that they can be tumble dried if necessary.

You would need to change bath mats every 2-3 days to prevent bacteria build up. But they do wash very easily and dry very quickly. I switched from fleece to bath mats a couple of years ago and wouldn’t go back now. They do however weigh heavily in the washer as they soak up so much water so you can only put a couple in at a time in a wash bag.

I use fleece liners in the main cage and bath mats in the hay area. Hay comes off the mats with a shake, so much easier than fleece.

I use them and would definitely reccomend.
Although I have to disagree with the tumble drying. Tried this once and it was like a hay stinkbomb!
Find them much easier than loose, disposable bedding and I find them very long lasting. The piggies love them too as they are very soft to lie on!
