Well today I am going to bath my piggies as Cristelle had a bit of fungal and also her cage mate has too. I haven't done this and have watched alot of videos on youtube so am hoping with good preparation it will be a success. I am unsure how they will react to the hairdryer but will put them in an indoor cage on fleece until I am certain they are dry.

my guinea's don't mind a bath. I've only hairdried one of them once (on a cool setting) as she was going to the vet and i didn't want to take her outside wet - she didn't seem to mind it at all. I just tend to wrap them both in a big towel and let them dry and preen themselves then put them back in the cage when they are almost dry.

I did Barry & Alan last week!

It was a two man job though so got my mum over, hehe! :)

I'd be wary with the hairdryer; mine were nervous enough with their first bath. They did, however, take alot longer to dry than I expected them to.

They were on my lap an hour and a half more of less constantly rubbing them dry; then let them sit in the pet carrier for a little while until I put them back. It was quite a windy day and I was worried about them getting draughty!

Good luck! :) xx

All piggies bathed and blow dried actually they were all very well behaved, my husband came home for lunch and thinks I have lost the plot now cos I was blow drying them! lol Now they have been inside for a little while and have popped them into their runs for some sunshine just to finish them off, however I did go in and out of the house several times checking the temperature to ensure they would not get chilly, omg I am neurotic!
