hi,

I've not been a member of this forum for long, but I've already learnt so much from you guys, so thanks!

I hadn't given my guineas baths before i read about it on here, so friday night was bath night. and i have to say they loved it. we put a tiny bit of water in the bottom of the sink to get their little feet wet, and then shampoo'd them with a mild baby shampoo. then ran them under a tap, very gently, which they all loved except for Daisy who got a bit squirmy. and then we had a really good lap-time with all of them while drying them off. And they all looked so tiny when they were wet, especially Daisy, my long-hair who is very good at puffing up her hair to make herself look big, but is in fact the smallest fo them all!

So in another month or so we will have bath time again. 8) :p

the boys were really good. really relaxed. we only had the tap on really gently to rinse the shampoo off, and when we held them on their backs to rinse their tummies they were still, but if you try to hold them like that any other time they hate it.

Maybe they were so scared they didn't know what to do! But i'd rather think they were just enjoying it.

You are lucky they are so well behaved! Mine absolutely hate baths and I don't know who ends up wetter....them or me! Still, they will insist on lying in their own muck!

I have to agree with other members comments above ... you are very lucky that yours liked having a bath!

I reckon that my neighbours think that I am killing my piggies when I bath them. They squeal and yell! ... the piggies, not my neighbours! :)):))

The only one that is quiet and seems to enjoy it is Princess, my little blind piggy. I think it is because she can't see the water and what is going on, just the nice feeling of warm water on her body. @)

I always bath mine in a cat litter tray placed in the run in the garden, so giving them the option of climbing out if they want to so that they don't feel trapped and that I am going to drown them. That for me is the quietest and option where I personally get least wet! rolleyes:)):))
