One of my stinky boars just had a sleep in their poo :evil::roll:

I Want to give them a bath, but last time, it wasnt the best experience, they were crying, shivering, and pretty much petrified.
I dont want to do it again, and i did everything right last time!
Will they be alright without the bath, or do i have to clean them?
 
Sometimes a bath is needed. Fudge jist needed one. Everything was ok till escaped
Now he is shivering and biting at his blanket. Which he has never done before
 
Generally guinea pigs don't need baths unless they are extremely mucky or are being treated for a skin complaint.

Try useing a soft brush to brush out the dirt if it's solid or a damp cloth if it's not.

Bathing is extremely stressful for guinea pigs and they never really become "ok" with it so it's better to avoid it if possible. In the 4 years of owning my girls they've only ever been bathed once.

Agree with this statement, often a little gentle wetting and sponging will do. I dread pig baths it stresses them out so much. I only ever do it if absolutely medical reason.
 
Reading this I feel then that my two did extremely well.. they got lice n easy shampoos so I couldn't avoid and will again next weekend. Any way you could not actually stand him in water but like sport billy suggested just wet the part that's dirty. I don't think mine would have minded as much if they hadn't been wet all over and stood in water too.
 
Could wait for it to dry and brush it out. Or just wet that area and do the best you can.
