Will you please give me advice on bathing guinea pigs. I bought special Guinea pig shampoo and got a new brush and scissors so I can tidy my boys up nicely just they have very active greece glands and like to Ly on veggies so they have some very interesting smells *not in a good way*

You could put some coconut oil on the grease gland first. Then rinse off and wash with the shampoo. When you put water in, make it VERY SHALLOW. I think when I bathed the boys, I used a small basin with very little water in...maybe 2-4cm deep? You could use a blow dryer on the lowest setting to dry them a bit better, but a towel also does the job.

Hi!

Here are our boar care and bathing tips.

Please be aware that the more you clean a grease gland, the more you stimulate activity and the more you bathe with shampoo, the more the skin tends to dry out. It is fine as a one-off measure but it should not been done on a too frequent basis.
