My girl Paisley had a bladder stone removed yesterday, she has fully recovered and back to her normal self already, no worries at all about her, however she is in desperate need of a bum & belly wash, she has been urinating all over herself and absolutely stinks, this can't be hygienic or comfortable for her.

She is also a long haired piggy which makes things even worse! She is already trimmed as short as I can go with scissors, I'm seriously considering shaving her entire bottom and belly purely for ease of cleaning, that way I could just wipe her skin clean.

It is way too soon to be bathing her with the incision and the stitches also being dissolvable, I need to bathe her without getting water in the incision, I have no idea how I'm going to do it, should I even do it? She just smells so bad and is soaked in urine, it's not good. :help:

I like the smell of a freshly bathed piggie! Did you use Gorgeous Guineas Posh n Go?

I once had a pig who was leaking urine due to sludge in the bladder and bad cystities. She was white which made her look worse. She had a bladder flush and my vet recommended to gently wipe her down with a wet flannel just to keep her fresh. Sadly we lost her a few days later due to an unrelated issue but I agree that asking your vet for advise is a good idea

EDIT : sorry we posted at the same time
