Well that was an experience!
One done one to go!
Any tips to make this easier?
My boar has some dandruff so given him a bath with some gorgeous guinea pig shampoo , water everywhere, a freaked out guinea especially trying to rinse it off him not sure if I managed to get it all out?!
He's now sitting on my lap with lots of towels over him not looking happy!

When I need to bath mine I put them in the bath so they have freedom to move. I pour water gently on them as I find that is less stressful then being in water. Guinea pigs do find baths difficult though. I am sure your little one will forgive you with the offer of a tasty treat.

my guinea pigs hate baths. Try giving veggies at the same time to distract them. They don't like standing in the water, it freaks them out a bit. They will get used to it but it's always going to be hard with piggies!

I too put them in the bath rather than a sink and they just paddle about though I do have a couple of freak out so they are in and out as quickly as I can. Have also had a couple of jumpers over the years.

ThAnks all I had all sorts of veggies they went mad!
I have the other to do I feel he will be just as bad. Although Marble just sat in a towel cuddled up to me for a few hours!

I use the shower, or a running tap. If you hold them under the flowing water fairly firmly, so they don't get any water in their nose and mouth, it's quick and less stressful (I think) than standing in water. Mine all try to jump out of a bath. I wet their back first, then turn them over to wet their little furry bellies and they visibly relax with a warm tum! The more you do it, the better they get.

Mine seem to enjoy a bath. I put a washing up bowl in the bath with a couple of inches of water in the bowl and to rinse I have jugs of warm water ready to pour over them. Can get a bit damp as they love shaking the water off like little dogs. I use towels to get the majority of the water off and hairdryer after that. They are not too keen at first but then love the warmth on thier tummies.

I did all the above but didn't get to the tummy area as he was panicing too much!
See what happens next time.
I'm booking an appt with the vet to get them checked over. Re fungal issues

This is exactly how i bath my long haired boys, i have a little travel hairdryer which has a lower wattage and therefore is not as noisy so it doesnt scare them too much
