Hi

How often do you bath your teddy/rex breed pig?
My boy is getting a bit smelly so I want to bath him but am worried about him getting cold so want to wait until spring.
Do you know of any good natural home made remedies for shampooing them with?

Thanks!

Hi.. If its just his bum area, what about just going him a bum bath? that way he won't get cold..

Hi! Best give boys just a bum bath if they grotty around downbelow, but always make sure that they are dry before you put them back. Here are our tips for boar care and how to go about it: Boar Care: Bits, Bums & Baths

Gorgeous Guineas have a special boar shampoo with the right ph for piggy skin if you want to go for a special shampoo: Just For Boars Conditioning Shampoo 150ml

If he is housed outside I wouldn't bath him until the weather is much warmer. Just give him a bottom bath & dry him thoroughly. Make sure you check him for impaction too. Gorgeous Guinea's Chrissie recommended Manuka & Neem shampoo for my Rex piggies as they tend to have scurfy skin.
