do guinea pigs like to be bathed if so how often and what shampoo do u use?

Some piggies love water but the majority hate it.

Hiya,

My Sheltie and Abyruvian love baths I put them in the bath, fill the bowl with water. Put the plug in the bath and use a jug to wet them. I have used mild Johnson shampoo on Twinkle as he is mostly white, I'm not sure if this was right, I wouldn't make a habbit of it but he was quite dirty underneath and water wasn't shifting it. Gorgeous Guineas is great!

You have to remember most shampoos are tested on guinea pigs or rats so it should be okay for them unless it said not tested on animals

Most of mine hate gettin a bath. Brandy cries the house done. we use the johnsons shampoo but the first time I bathed Misty and Sooty my Aussie Shampoo. Mum wasn't happy because it's not exactly cheap :

That shampoo (the first one) contains ingredients that cause all sorts of problems in rodents, steer well clear of it.

yeah i always use gorgeous guineas, it's yummy! some of mine like it, but the majority don't, gotta be done once in a while though!
