bathing?

hey guys!
i’m seeing mixed opinions everywhere on guinea pig bathing , so what do you all think about it ? and how often ?
i was thinking of purchasing the gorgeous guineas shampoo i just wanna know you guys thought.

Guinea pigs really should not be bathed unless absolutely necessary. Most frequently in long-haired piggies, a "bum bath" may come in handy if their hair appears to be matted or messy. I know what it feels like to find so much conflicting information out there on the internet!

Bathing should only be done for medical needs, or a quick bum bath if they have a dirty bottom or grease gland
