I have no idea what to bath the guinea pigs in! Sinae is an offwhite coronet cross himmie and she has longish hair near her botbot that always seems to get stained looking. I want it to go white again if it can or should I just trim it off and let it grow back?

But with bathing what is the best stuff to use as so far I've only bathed Sinae in plain water as I wasn't sure. She loves a bath as well, also can you bath them if they don't actually need it? I was wondering as she seems to love the water a lot, it'd be nice to do it a little more often just for some fun for her.
 
Ive just bathed pancake for the first time? How is the best way to dry her? I'm scared of leaving her a little damp but she is squirming around!
 
i have tried lots off different ways but find the best way is in the bath with the shower head. if you have a very brave piggie like one of ours you could try a hair dryer on low, ours loves it and moves herself around to get dry!
 
Have a look on www.gorgeousguineas.com for some ideas of bathing products for your piggie. You can towel dry your piggie and then try the hairdryer on low. Something my sow used to like was sitting on a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel. She would lie right out on it - great for drying her belly :)
 
I got some shampoo from Pets at home.
And we bathed them in the washing up bowl and used a cup to wet them.
Then to dry them we just wrapped them up in a towel then put them in their bed in front of the fire and put them back when they are dry :)
 
I also have longhaired piggies and bath them every 6-8 weeks. I only use Gorgeous guineas shampoo as others contain chemicals.

I put an old towel in the bottom of the bath and pop the piggy onto it. I have a sink full of warm water and a jug. Mine hate the shower head as it is too powerful. I wet the piggy using the jug, shampoo thoroughly, rinse carefully and repeat. I use posh n go shampoo for my long haireds. Around the face and ears, I just carefully use the lather only and wipe it off with a damp flannel.

I towel dry them and some are very happy to be blow dried on a cool setting, the girls love it. The boys hate it and wriggle loads so I pop them in a box on an old towel and blow dry them in there. It is very important to dry them before putting them back in their cage as they could get an upper respitory infection from getting chilled.

If a piggy needs a trim, I three quarters dry them, then I trim mainly round their bottoms were it gets messy and finish drying them.
