Can anyone tell me the correct way to wash my piggies? I have to wash them because I'm allergic to their dirty hairs :( Tonight, my eye is swollen to the size of a peach, or at least it feels like it! What should I do?

(BTW, when we first got them a month ago their fur didn't bother me... I usually get like this around dirty long haired cats too!)
 
I wash mine in the bath tub monthly, especially wilson because of his fuzzy hair ;D

I just fill it up with warm water about an inch or so (check the water on your wrist before you put them in)
And I use Johnsons baby shampoo... just use a dab and scrub them with it ;D
Also make sure you thoroughly wash it out :)
 
Two bowls of water and a jug. Use a flannel to do their faces. I recommened gorgeous guineas shampoo. Get them wet, apply shampoo, rinse off, then transfer to second bowl and rinse again, using the jug. Make sure you get all the shampoo out, and make sure they are warm after.
 
yer forgot to add that... after bathing my bunnies and piggies i snuggle them and get the hairdryer set to low from a far distance to warm them up a bit... make sure you dont burn them though ;D
 
I think it's easier to use a tub, cos if yours are anything like mine they'll attempt suicide by trying to jump out the sides of anything smaller. hold them in your hand so they don't run & slip or try to launch. lather the shampoo in your hand first because it's easier getting it right on them. then when you're done, splash them lightly with the water in the tub. then rinse with a cup of warm water or the showerhead on a REALYY light setting.
my 2 shorthairs hate their bath time. but the Peruvian doesn't care either way.
make sure they're in a clean place until they're properly dry so nothing sticks to them in their cage/hutch.
 
Hairdryer and Sully were a bad combo, he hated it with a passion, used to attack the cord :o :o :o :o i freaked yelled and that upset him, i was just upset about him chewing the cord that i just reacted poor love got over that part but never over the bathing beauty time ;)
I also do it in my large laundry tub with a smaller tub with the little one in it, and i superivse FULL TIME :-*
