Hello all.

If i give my piggers a bath, do i have to use a shampoo for them? or can they just have a bath with just water on the hotter days?

I use a couple drops on baby shampoo in the bath tub for them, and then anti mite, flea, fly ect. drops on them afterwards

just water gets their coats lovely and soft aswell, but not as clean

So i can just use water untill i get a shampoo then?

Washing them just with water won't go much really so you are better off waiting until you have some shampoo for them.

I don't like baby shampoo for use on pigs - it can be very drying.

The best stuff is from here www.gorgeousguineas.co.uk

You're right, they stay smelly but their coats are cleaned of the dust

& I only use a bit (: I think Peter Gurney suggested it on his website, or it could have been anti dandruff o.0
anyway, works for me

yes try to avoid there eyes
i use a aloe vera shampoo or mild shampoo will do

must admit most of us on here especially us older ones ( members not age) use GG shampoo nothing can beat it and we would always recomend its use, they are made espcially for guineas and smell wonderful

I would not even use baby shampoo on a human baby let alone a guinea pig its drys the skin out too much.
