Hi all

New time member, long time listener/reading things via Google search results here. Please forgive the lack of intro thread, I promise I'll do one later...but at the moment I need a bit of advice about my lovely lad George's poop.

George was neutered almost four weeks ago, all went well, recovering fine, until last Monday I found a little lump. Off we went back to the vets and he has a small abscess, and is on baytril twice a day. I had a niggly feeling he may need probiotics as well as he is a bit of a sensitive sole, and lo and behold tonight I've found some yellowish poo that smells like pure evil on its way out...am I right and are probiotics the next best step? If so, what am I after?

Thank you!

Baytril kills the good and bad bacteria in the gut and some piggies don’t react well to it. It’s recommended you give the piggy a probiotic either 2 hours before, or 2 hours after the baytril. Let me find the link for you re probiotics.

Amazing thank you! Fortunately we have a PAH very locally so I'll nip in tomorrow and get some of the one they sell. Thank you very much for the quick response 😊

Hope all goes well! I have a piggie who just started baytril on Friday. So far no weird poops, but I wondered about a probiotic too (us humans are big on the probiotics here...).
I have a syringe of Benebac here from another vet trip. Wondering if I can just give her some
