Baytril Dose?

I just wanted to check.... my Archie has a URI poor lad.... the vet has given me some Baytril....

I'm sure I remember the correct dose being around 0.4 or 0.5 twice a day? But the vet has marked the bottle with 1.5 twice a day?!

Is 1.5 a dangerous dose? Or is the vet just being safe?

Also, when I was hunting for my syringes I've found some more Baytril I already had. Is there a shelf life for Baytril?

If you're not sure I would ring the vet and double check. You could also have a look here:

I would still ask your vet again though as the amount depends on the weight of your piggy and the concentration you've been given.

2.5% Baytril dose is 0.5ml twice daily.

Can I ask, when should I expect to see an improvement in Archie (he has a URI) after starting the Baytril?

Also, is there anything more I can/should be doing or giving? (I am giving probiotics already obviously)

Within a couple of days. This assumes that he has a URI.
