Bedding for Summer

Hi, my piggy is kept inside and I use shavings and hay in winter but was wondering what is the best bedding for the summer months

Shavings and hay can be used year round (I use it year round).
Being inside you so have the option of fleece if
you are happy with all the washing! It rather comes down to your personal preference.

Fleece involves quite a lot of initial outlay but you soon recoup the money.

 

[Furry and Frightful]

I use fleece pee pads and beds/sacks, but I also have a large haybox/litter box with golden straw bedding. I find that they are spending more time in the haybox during the middle of the day, with this hot weather. Maybe the straw is cool for them. A good mix is good I think.

Do note that we do not recommend the use of straw for guinea pigs due to it being inedible and sharp.
Hay is the best thing to use.
