bedding question

Hiya! I've looked in our piggies hutch today and the bed area is soaking wet - again! I was wondering, would it be OK to buy some carefresh for the bedding area only? I was going to line it with newspaper, put carefresh in that area only, and I've shredded some evening standards this morning so was going to put that in there for them to snuggle into. I'll do the rest of the hutch as I usually do which is a layer of newspaper and a layer of wood shavings.

Does this sound OK? I need help from the experts! I seem to be cleaning out their sleeping area every other day at the mo as they seem to use that as their toilet too.

Carefresh would be perfect! Make sure you have plenty of hay in the cage too! x

How much hay do you spread around? I've just been giving them a handful in the mornings and another large handful in the evenings. Should you spread loads around the whole hutch? God, I'm such a novice at all this!
