We are thinking of getting 2 Midwest’s to connect together for our boy and 2 girls. What bedding do people use? Will sawdust be ok? Will the bottom of the cage get too wet? This is what we currently use. I don’t want to go down the fleecy route, the piggies and I are quite happy with the sawdust at the minute.

I came to suggest fleece, since lots of people make fleece liners specifically for Midwest, but I just saw you don't want to do fleece. Whups 8P

I have midwest cages and I use fleece. The green tarp that covers the bottom doesn't come up very high along the sides of the cage, so you might have some issues with loose substrate making a mess. The tarp does get wet sometimes, but a quick wipe down with lysol wipes whenever i see a mess and it's all clean.

fitch paper bedding,aubiose/aubichick,megazorb,softchip,easibed,are all good bedding to use.I hope you can find the bedding overview in the guides !

Whatever you currently use for bedding will work fine with the Midwest, I usually use Carefresh or Megazorb with no major issues.
