My guineas cage consists of Newspaper, Dust Free Wood Chippings and Hay. Any information about

Fleece which seems to be used quite a lot but the liners seem a bit expensive. Any ideas of different

types of bedding.

fleece liners are not expensive... I pay them 6-8€ a meter and also Ikea blankets are good and cost even less. You need 2-3 pieces only (I have more but only for changing the pattern of the cage)
Anyway my bedding is made of three layers: an old blanket+paper (leaflets from supermarket)+fleece. I prefer changing the wet spot every day during the floor time, when I hang out to dry the fleece (which is actually not wet at all) and the piggies are having their floor time; but nothing bad happens when I am lazy one day and I don't change the wet paper...

the waterproof linen which I am using is not necessary. The wee is perfectly absorbed by the paper.
Then for the hideys, the dolls bed and the breadbox I have sewn the fleece for having nice pads (with some paper underneath).
all of that is free:)
