I am a New Guinea pig owner and would like some advice about bedding for indoor piglets. Would vet bedding be suitable?

Welcome to the forum.
There is a wide choice of bedding for indoor piggies.
I have gone back to using wood shavings as I find it suits me best and the girls are happy with it.
I tried fleece but found the laundry was just too much for me to cope with.
Other forum members love the fleece which works well for them.
Have a read through the forum guides on bedding - there's some useful comparison advice to help.
In the end go with what works best for you and your piggies.
Please can we see pictures of your piggies

Welcome.
They are super cute.

I have fleece bedding for my Finn and Lara, who are indoor piggies, and it is very convenient for me. Mine are potty trained so they use their hay tray as their bathrooms. This makes cleaning very easy with minimal smell inside the house. I clean and wash their hay tray every 2-3 days, which gets rid of all the pee and poo. There is minimal amount of pee and poo on their fleece bedding. I love how convenient learning has become.
My Finn and Lara live in separate cages but close enough to keep each other company.

I would 100% recommended Aubiose or a safe hemp bedding. It’s what I use and it’s super absorbent meaning it doesn’t need to be too thick. I just spot clean any favourite spots that are the most dirty and replace it with a hadful of new stuff every day/every other.

I use fleece. I find it easier on there feet. One of my pigs has super curly finger nails (from not being cut by his previous owner) and fleece makes it more comfortable to walk. I’ve used bedding before as well. Just find a safe brand.
