Hi guys, I have another question. The bonding is going great and they (relatively) love each other now. They are still in a rather small crate and we have ordered a massive crat but unfortunately it is arriving while on holiday . We are improvising bedding since the other got ripped in the wash (somehow) so I was just wondering if kitchen role would work even if they nibble on it slightly. Will it harm them?

No kitchen roll won’t work at all because it stays wet. They need something which absorbs and keeps it away

I use fleese liner, you can buy them online. The filling in between absobes the pee very well, so their feet stay nice and dry.
They are not cheep but very long lasting.

You may be able to buy some liners on Amazon but there are also specialist makers listed in the link below

Members recommended UK and US sites for fleece cage liners and accessories

An alternative to proper liners (which have the absorbent layer already stitched in) is to use puppy pads (and you can get washable pads) and then lay a single layer of polar fleece on top
