having needed to replace the original sewing machine that broke last year I asked to borrow the money from my parents to buy a more suited machine especially as my temporary cheap machine is starting to show the strain of making so many beds (over 150 since november). Because all the money I had been saving up towards the replacement was then spent on my poor old lady I knew I was running out of time before I would end up with no sewing machine and two broken ones. Thankfully bank of parents said yes, saturday I went and picked up the one I had chosen, lovely helpful shop that tried my thickest and hardest product on each machine to see which ones would cope.

So new machine in, still getting used to it and all the settings that I am happy with so as ever I practice by making items for my lot - as I dont mind if quality is not perfect, however items I make to sell of course are.

I made the herd their matching set, a second gazebo and sleepy bag double cozy not in this photo, but one of each item for them

(ran out of yellow for inside the cozy)

think the cozy sleepy bags are actually big enough for 3 :o but still have to perfect the product before that goes in my list and both the herd and the boys have one put in today to try out, hopefully it wont just be a big soft cushion :))

ooooooo new stuff.... :))

The big cozy sleeping bags look fab. Will start saving the pennies. Your squbes are getting lots of use this morning. treacle is sitting in one, while Cookie is lying on one mallethead rolleyes

if it makes you feel any better the really lovely fabric 100% cotton ones I made for the boys and the herd that cost me double than the normal fabrics, the boys refused to use theirs. After months of trying to get them to like them I relented and gave the two boys "plums" to the herd who love them just as much as they love all their squbes. Which is why I decided to buy the fabric pictured, the boys are green only because I loved the colour with the flowers and thankfully its not a green adversion as they love this sqube, trunnel and gazebo - just given them a cozy sleepy bag. So I felt sorry for the herd for not having any gazebos, brought enough to make two in the yellow plus of course matching trunnel (they have two already) and another sqube, and had enough to make two sleepy bags - on is being tried I hope today. And I felt sorry for the boys who then still had less stuff than the girls so I got the blue fabric to make them a sqube, gazebo, trunnel and sleepy bag :))

I might make the stuff but it hasnt worked out much cheaper for me lol, I have to save pennies to buy them for my own pigs too and they only get made when nothing else is going on or I need to try a new product out.

I love that flowery fabric. Well done on getting your new machine. :)

Ooooo they look beautiful and congrats on your new sewing machine its lovely when you can finally use it and create snazzy piggie comforts drool x)

I am loving this flowery fabric, sews really well and looks great so I will be looking to add to the range of choices.

yesterday I made 2 squbes, 2 part made squbes, 2 cozys, 2 trunnels and 2 gazebos, the features on the machine certainly have made a difference in the speed I am able to sew.
