been up to Loch Lomond/Dunoon area (sorry Rhona.. tourists ::) ) since Thursday and my piggies have been staying with my mother in law since last Wed. I'm going to pick them up tomorrow and i'm worried as what state. I know she'll be looking after them well and when ever I phone she says they're ok but boy am I worried.

My sister-in-law has told me that she dropped the milk carton in the carton full of pellets I had for my boys so she got some more food that cost 80p. They're not going to want to eat that!

Oh hell, well it was my choice to go away and at least they'll be clean, well fed on veggies but I doubt they will have been picked up and cuddled.

What do you do with your piggies when you go away?

Missing my cuddles tonight I can tell you.

haha did u come to balloch?!

i dont even like leaving my animals over night even if i have fed them etc and get mum to check them before she goes to bed!

I saw a sign for balloch! I was a model tourist by the way 0:) what does Haste ye back mean?

I worry too, it's just part of being a good slave O0
I'm lucky my mum had Duke whilst we were away at christmas and she did a fab job, she cried when i left with him cause she was going to miss him so much :-* We are both nutty about animals so it really helps to have someone that you know will do anything to help them no matter what.
I'm sure they'll be OK

Re: been away, guineas.. horrified

I posted earlier about my little man having a sore. My first concern was that Puddles was biting him underneath but I think I really know what it is.

This is very hard for me because I wasn't going to talk about it on here. I am ashamed and embarrassed by it.

I went yesterday to pick up my 2 boys from my lother in law. She had been looking after them them while I had been away. They had museli for there food (they have always had pellets) chocolate treats covering the inside of their veg bowl and a root of a cauliflower. They had no hay at all because she said she was worried they were eating too much even though I had said to her they have to have it at all times and I wrote it all down for her _ even not to be alarmed if you see them eat their own pooh! I can't call her for this because I feel that she was trying her best here but not the next thing I am going to share with you.

My piggies had no bedding left at all.. they must have ate all of their hay bedding and what was left was newsapaper and well lots of pooh. They were sitting in masses of pooah and obviously wee. I was horrified and very upset but had to try to hide the way I was feeling. I said to her that I had no stocks of GP stuff at home so would she mind if wee went to P@H to restock (was spending the day with her because she hadn't seen my little girl all week) I came home (to her house) and cleaned them out straight away. She must have known I wasn't happy but at that point I didn't care about her feelings. She stench. the weight of the newspaper. Thats not caring. How can she think that I would be ok about the state of their cage. She made no attempt to even try to hide the fact she hadn't cleaned them out. All she had to do was clean out the pooh corner regularly but the whole floor was littered with pooh. CHrist I am so annoyed and I can't believe I am sharing this with you but I have to. Do you think the sore on Trek's underneath is because of the poor living conditions he's been in.?

I do hope you don't think ill of me as I love my boys and her treatment of them is absolutely no reflection of the care and affection I have for them.
