beetroot leaves

iv just got some beetroots for my pigs and was wondering if it was safe to give them the leaves?
 
ok so iv just read that the leaves are poisonous to guinea pigs so will definately be throwing those.
 
Guinea Lynx advises them as safe. Personally I wouldn't give them, just because (no particular reason!), but beetroot greens (leaves) are listed on the GL safe list.
 
I think theyre very high in calcium.... I gave mine the leaves before cos all i had seen was the shopping list. They were absolutly fine, but I'm not giving them to them until I'm completly sure
