Me and my grandma have just been discussing the piggies. Cuz they will need to be on fleece for a few days after their op on Wednesday to that sawdust does not stick to their wounds. Personally I would prefer to keep them on fleece and think its just nicer. Any tips for using fleece?

Also, I'm sorting my money out on Tuesday, going to the bank, and when I get my money for that week I'm gonna start saving up for a c&c cage, gonna make a two tier one :)

How big would you have t make a two tier cage for two piggies?

Just ordered my c&c cage from amazon - £24.99
And two fleece, a baby blue one & a cream one with beige & brown circles on -£2.99 each :)

A few qu's..

- How often do you guys change your fleece?
- and in your c&c cage if you use he squares as a bottom and cover that with fleece will that be okay instead of correx?

Also, I am gonna need to make a ramp for my guineas, as the cage is gonna be two tier, what shall I make it out of?

We've been using fleece for a couple of weeks. I started changing it on a daily basis but it really doesn't need it. Just need to shake it off a few times a day.

The one i'm going to change today has been in for 5 days, Its not wet and doesn't smell. I change the newspaper underneath it daily.

I like the idea of using a grid for a ramp actually cuz I can cable tie it in place then, thank you all :)

We're in the process of building our first C&C cage, I think the problem with used the grids on the bottom with the fleece over is that its not waterproof and won't protect the floor underneath. We got correx but you could consider lino instead. We've made a ramp out of MDF which we are covering in carpet (thanks to an offcut from OH's brother who's just had his living room carpetted).

Hi all my piggies are on fleece i love it much more eco green to will be even better when i have a compost bin :)
I find carboots and charity shops really good for cheap fleece i get my blankets for about 50p each also fab for towels saved me loads i dread to think how much they would have cost first hand or the price of sawdust for 3 cages.
I have to say i would not use the squares for th bottom bit harsh on their feet but i am sure there are loads of things you could us my corrtex was not a lot and i think they are now doing a 20% off for people from this site as well.
