Between last night and this morning my husband noticed a behavior change in all three of our piggies. He believes their house/pen needs to be relocated. They apparently did not eat this morning and it was freaking my husband out. Last night they had a big feast with veggies, hay, and pellets. I told him it could just be that they are not hungry and we can try again later. He also said (he is a night owl) that they did not sleep last night. He thinks the pen needs moved to a more quieter location so they can rest but I feel it is a bad idea. I know they like to be with each other but the reason we have them is to be pets. I'm a little concerned as far as what I should do. They could also be hot since this summer has been pretty bad. Any suggestions? They are currently in our living room next to our back door and television stand. I want to make everyone happy but also want what is best for my piggies and their health. My girls are currently napping right now. I am attacking their current setup. The top shelf is not being used currently. Thanks in advance!

@luv2care1987 My pigs are quite active at night too. If I get up then I usually see Jon standing up at the bars wanting food.

If you over fed them last night then it is possible that they were hungry. Keep an eye on them to see how they go

They like to be in a room were they can be chatted to & stroked. Mine tend to be up & down all night, so tell the hubby they are fine where they are. You will probably have to move them away from the back door in the winter. So they don't get a draught.
Try not to give them big feasts, if you keep it to reasonable portions. The most important thing is that they have lots & lots of Hay that is vital.

As prey animals they do not sleep! I think 10 mins at a time is their max from what I've read. Same as giraffes etc, not that I ever thought I'd be comparing giraffes to guinea pigs...
