two or three times both the piggies have tried to nibble my fingers at lap time, first time I smelt of hay so far enough but it happened again last night.. Is this normal ? I presume they are just exploring what is around them, they tried to nibble the fleece & the towel too... Wondered if they were hungry ? Another daft question from me lol :lol!:

Many piggies explore with their mouths, they like to sniff, nibble and taste things. You smelled of hay, yet they knew you were not hay, and could have been testing to find out if you had any hay to give, a way of trying to gently pick out any hay strands on your fingers that they think may be there.

Sometimes they gentle nibble and lick, and it can feel like it's an affectionate thing - perhaps they are trying to groom us when they do this?

And sometimes they nibble and fidget just before they wee - it's very common for them to let you know that they need to be placed in their cage or another toileting area for them to wee. Many guinea pigs do their best NOT to wee on their humans and this is a polite and common way of letting their humans know that they can't hold it in much longer :)

maybe .... i do notice the bum wiggle when they are ready to poo... only one seems to poo and wee at lap time, the other doesn't .. not that i mind cos we have old clothes on !

Does he fidget around alot too? Mine do this when they need a wee at laptime... Shaun also nibbles randomly too though he is a a bit of a special piggie haha XD

not really, they both either go a bit mental and run about or snuggle down ! I just say ' thats my finger, don't eat me '... she only nibbled didn't bite me but she did try and bite my diamond ring lol !
