I have been offered a 14 week old boar that is currently living alone and has been since the people bought him. Their daughter hasn't really ‘bonded’ with him so now they want shut! I cannot remember what age a pig needs to have the immediate close companionship of others - if I take him will I need to attempt to bond him with one of my boars or a spayed sow immediately or will he be okay living side by side with contact through the bars? Can anyone help jog my old memory please? I feel so sorry for the little pig being on his own!

Babies under four months shouldnt be alone.
I think I’d bond immediately as if he has been alone for so long, he would be desperate for company

Under four months needs to be bonded straight away. Hope it goes well.

Just a thought if he's 14 weeks old he won't be neutered so you don't want to put him with a sow unless the sow has been spayed otherwise you'll have babies.

I hope all goes well with bonding your new little one 💜💖💜

I did say a spayed sow...

That's me miss reading sorry. It's far too early to be up and thinking....well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it 🤣😱😂
Tell me about it - I’ve been awake since 5am for some inexplicable reason. Just can seem to get into a decent sleep pattern at the moment!🥱

Well I have the excuse of my daughter's first day back in school after 3 weeks from having appendicitis and having her appendix out so I've not had an early morning for a while!
