Malice
Junior Guinea Pig
So I've finally got around to making a fleece bedding order. We were already planning on doing it after we bought the C&C cage, but due to funds (Christmas) and a ringworm breakout, we put it on hold!
However, last night I was in my pugskin (it's a onesie, but I'm not fond of the term, so I call it my 'pugskin'; can you guess what animal it resembles?) and I had Posset and Toggle out for lap time (neither Syllabub nor Poglet are particularly fond of lap time, so we get them out for cuddles less often, although they're fussed and played with just as much as the smalls!). Posset decided that the fabric of my pugskin was the softest thing she'd ever come across and, after trying to eat it, snuggled right down on my stomach, with Toggle hiding away in the pocket. It was really cute to watch them and made me think just how much they'll love having fleece instead of sawdust!
So I finally bought a set of liners, for upstairs, downstairs and in the wash! My boyfriend has also decided to redesign the cage layout, so we'll have two first floor areas instead of one, as the guinea pigs have recently (as in, in the last three days!) discovered the joy of running up and down the ramp. (I realised that the reason they rarely used it before was that it didn't have enough grip; Poglet was the only one to really use it. Now we've covered it in a tea towel and all four use it; although the smalls much prefer to be upstairs than downstairs).
I also ordered some matching fleece toys; a snuggle sack, a cuddle cup and a tunnel, as well as some extra fleece to make a 'bunk bed' (all four piggies love climbing on top of anything and everything they can reach).
I'm really excited for it all to arrive now! ^__^ I hope my piggies like it, even if my bank balance does not, haha!
