Hi there Leah, just wanted to update you on Bella, she gave me quite a scare the of the week. One of things of frightens me is sudden changes in a Guinea pigs behavior and Bella all the sudden starts to become very needy towards her boar Max, she would bury her head underneath his tummy, lick his face and generally following him around when every went.
This is very unusual behavior for Bella as she has never been A needy pig in fact quite the opposite. It was getting that bad that Bella started making loud wheek's at 3.00 and 4:00 AM the reason for this was Max was getting totally fed up with the extra attention. And he was butting her out the way.
This had me quite worried until I realized what the problem was, I had been treating Max for a small cyst on his neck which meant flushing with a week Tamodine solution, but I ran out ofTamodine, so I replaced it with saline, then the penny finally dropped, Bella had developed a taste for the dried salt, and she trying to find patches on Max which she could lick

I am so sorry! I have only just seen this thread 4 months later. I hope you don't mind be bringing it back upa after so long - but I feel so rude not noticing it sooner.

I really appreciate the update on Bella, I often wonder how she is along with Max of course, what a funny girl, it's lovely to see her so loved up. I am happy that she is happy
