Hi guys,
Not been around on the forum for a while as have had poorly parents (ongoing problems) to contend with as well as having the Festival I organise throughout July.
However, had to take both piggies to he vets last week.
Bill had a swelling on his foot. Vet removed it, prescribed Baytril for 5 days. 5 days has gone by, the lump is fine but we now have very soft, smelly poo's. Result of the Baytril??
Ben had to come too as he has had soft poo for a couple of weeks. Had restricted veg, then removed all veg and kept him on a hay and pellet diet but nothing was resolving the problem. (Some of you may remember this is a chronic problem, usually caused by too much veg, resolved by witholding veg for a week). However the vet this time suggested a bug of some kind and prescribed Septrin due to his chronic problems. Have been giving for 6 days now but after an initial improvement there has been NO improvement whatsoever. The vet (and he is very good) seemed to think that Septrin was sort of the end of the line. Not sure what to try next and wondered if anyone had any good ideas.
Thanks.
