I just wanted to show and tell! I bought some Vetbed and and two pigloos and it's made cage cleaning so easy. Here's my clean up routine. I have two towels on the bottom of the cage topped off with the Vetbed. I discovered the mucky pups were doing most of their business in the pigloos. I thought it was short for 'pig igloos' but my two took it literally and used it as a pig loo! I'm sure I must have the dumbest piggies ever. Anyway I digress, I decided to cut up a hand towel into pieces big enough to fold double and line the base of the pigloo.

Each morning I say hello to Ben and Jerry then go off to find some veggies. While they are eating their breakfast I scoop up all their poo and change the pigloo 'nappies' and hey presto a clean cage every day and no lingering odours. I obviously change the towels under the Vetbed every couple of days but whats easier? It all goes in the washer and dryer or on the line. I wash the 'nappies' daily and have 3 days worth so I don't get caught out.

I bought my towels really cheaply in Ikea but you can get cheap towels just about anywhere. I love it especially because I can do it all from a chair in front of their cage. It's on a coffee table so is the perfect height for me. The boys really love it.

I would line the pig logos with fleece as they can catch their nails on towels. It is great to hear how much you are enjoying your boys.

Aw, adorable boys and that's a lovely house they have :) Our piggies love vet bed and I like the fact that they have comfort under their feet and not sitting in wee as the surface stays dry.
I'm a nightmare to shop with as everything I look at could be something for the piggies with a bit of tweaking...I'm a pigaholic too xx>>>

If you wash and dry the fleece three times without fabric conditioner it will wick away water.

That's a good idea but what about absorbancy? I don't like to think of them sleeping on a wet patch, even if it is their own fault lol.

Use a small piece of vet bed - some of our piggies have the sheepskin cosies and I always pop a small piece in, strips do well on ramps etc. :)
Go for the cheaper bedding if you're going to hack it up and save the best for main areas.
This is a great supplier with free delivery:
