Bereavement?

Everything crossed here for a parsley munch, hopefully that’s just a starter though! :D
Hopefully it'll tickle his fancy, so to speak. He did take himself up to the hay loft earlier on today as well, which he hasn't done in a few days. He's normally a voracious hay water so hopefully he's beginning to get more of an appetite. One thing is for sure... This new "guinea pig" that's joined him in the cage doesn't seem to eat much.....!

That’s great then, at least he’s moving around and getting a munch on  Especially hay!
Haha yes my oldie Jess was thinking the same the other night with a friend that joined her on the bed (a teddy made to remember my one-eyed chin Pedro!)!

She is beautiful! 😍😍😍 I think she'd cheer Fozz up so end!
Aw thank you, I think she’s gorgeous but I’m biased! She lives life at a slow pace these days, arthritis in her spine, one eye, deaf and kidney problems but she’s amazing bless her! Sure Fozz would probably be at that nice older gentleman pace she loves! And definitely loves her boys! :))

They could share their loxicom with each other! Fozz used to clean rollie up after he had loxicom and critical care. 😍

Aah bless him  yes Jess used to with her old man Rupert! But has decided after all these years of pinching syringes and licking him to death she hates it! Fozz might encourage her as she’s on it twice a day for life now! 🙄:))
Hope he’s had a good night and enjoyed lots of munch x

Well Mr Fozz has tucked into some fresh grass that I picked for him this morning... Even standing on top of his toy teddy to get to it. 🤣 Yesterday he stole a bit of cucumber from in front of the ted... Old habits and all that! I think later on I'll go take him outside to see whether he'll munch away on the grass. He did this last year after his heat stroke and would only eat fresh grass for about two weeks.

Hi all,
Been able to find a companion for Mr Fozz! He's 4 years old like Fozz (in fact less than a month older) lives indoors and even eats the same nuggets! They've had a meeting and initial signs were positive! His name is Ted and he seems totally in love with Fozz... Fozz is a little more non plused but he's been two weeks on his own and maybe needs some time to get used to the idea. We'll be keeping a close eye on them both.

Aw, so glad you’ve managed to find a friend for Foss, it’s not my Ted is it 😆

Little update... Fozz is seemingly perkier! Although his weigh is still a concern (doesn't increase but levels out around 1000g) he's far more interested in food, eating grass, hay, fresh veges and some nuggets. He's also more active... I don't think he gets much of a chance to sit with super Ted! Here's the two of them out on the grass yesterday! 😍IMG_20200712_171032.webpIMG_20200712_170338.webpIMG_20200712_170708.webp

Hi all,
Little update. Today was the first day that we didn't syringe feed Mr Fozz. He's been much more interested in a range of foods and has been eating much more consistently. He's held his weight today and gone up a little! Now 1005g, still down from his hefty weight of 1300g but I think he's finding his new normal weight. Had been falling below 1000g on and off, even with syringe feeding so we're both so happy!

He has a little check up on Monday with Uncle Simon 🧔 to see whether there's anything we can be doing to help him. Ted will be accompanying him too and having his own once over. Poor Teddy! Just so glad that he's now sustaining his own weight! 😁🤞
