Hi,
We have recently lost one of our pigs Ruby, she was only 3 but had various issues for the last year with numerous visits to the vets and no medication seeming to help her:(. Gloria is now on her own so we are thinking of getting a new pig around the same age but I’m just wondering if anyone can help us know the best way to do this as we are worried a new pig won’t get on with Glo as she a quieter girl. Also is there any signs we need to watch for to make sure she’s okay after losing Ruby. Any help would be appreciated :)

I’m sorry for your loss.

The best way to find a new friend is to speak to a rescue centre and get on their waiting lists For bonding. If you can take her dating, then she can choose her own new friend which will assure you of compatibility and you won’t have the worry about them not liking each other.

Yes there are signs to look out for. This guide explains Looking After a Bereaved Guinea Pig
