I do that... And he's a bit needy... I.e. If you stop you get 'the look' and you must continue. I'm convinced he thinks he's a cat or dog.

I'm not too sure, most people said texel but his parting isn't very predominant... I haven't seen a merino though? So he could be a mix.

Yeah think so. I think Merino is just a softer fur than Texel - not sure. Just googled it and Merino is just a Texel with a head rosette - must have the rosette to be Merino. So think yours is a Texel (can't see a rosette).
