Something my piggies really LOVE to do is tunneling in hay. I guess this partly counts as eating, but they love having a big, big pile of hay and moooching around in it
Another thing is being allowed to roam a whole room or part of a room. Big enough space to really get up speed for the crazy running sessions three of my pigs are so fond of.
If you piggie is alone right now the biggest ever present you could give him is a friend. It's company, entertainment, exercise equipment and security all at once
That advice is plain wrong - you can always bond a young boar with an adult boar or another young boar.
Bonding a youngster under 10 weeks with an older boar has the advantage that the dominance is clear and there is only one boar having to go through puperty at the time. This is best done at a rescue under expert supervision - it can minimise the risk of fall outs.
We have so many poor boys coming into rescue who have had to spend a lonely, boring life due to this advice and are sooo happy about finally finding company of their own kind!
Otherwise, you can bond him with another baby. But they will have to go through puberty at the same time. This is the time most fall outs happen.
