Hello all - I've not been on for ages and ages but I've got some questions.

I use the green braun 1ml feeding syringes when I syringe feed - BUT I'm all out and my Mork needs some support at the moment.

I have the white ones from the vet but I find them so frustrating!

Can I ask what feeding syringes you recommend and where can I buy them?

I've seen the green ones on ebay but can only buy 100 of them which is many more than I hope I ever need.

Thanks in advance :)

We just trim the end off 1ml syringes and that really helps to syringe feed. Maybe that would help in the meantime while you track down the ones you like. Hope Monk gets well soon

I stopped using the 1ml syringes, when I was syringing Fred and Wilma long term. I found when I was getting up during the night it took hour's to feed just twenty ml's I swapped over to the supreme syringes I know there is a lot of debate behind them but I've never had a problem with them.

I'm always extra careful not to put any pressure on the syringe when in the pig's mouth, always go in from the side and if the syringe stick's remove from there mouth and apply pressure over a cup the food can shoot out quite quickly and could possibly aspirate the pig if this happened in the pig's mouth, if the syringe continues to stick I bin it and get a new one.
