We adopted a guinea pig last week. It is at the shelter until we pick him up. We have been waiting on our Midwest Guniea Pig Habitat, Plus. Is this a goos choice? I bought the one with the divider and it is fully closed off.

The cage meets the minimum standards for space and could fit two piggies. You seem to be preparing well and want to make sure your new pig has a good life. With this in mind, you could get him a friend as they really need companionship and you have the room in the cage. Half the joy of guineas is watching them play with each other. He will be far more likely to popcorn/do zoomies/squeak in general. Good luck with your new pig (pictures when you get him?) :)

Yes the Midwest cage is adequate for 2 piggies and I know a number of forum members either use them now or have used them in the past

The Midwest is a great cage, but one isn't really big enough for two boars.

I agree a bigger cage would be better but it does meet recommended minimum. Still think it's a better quality of life for two rather than one. The good thing about these cages is that you can expand them. You could probably rig up a pen beside it to give them more room if needed, then you could defo say you have enough room for two. I'd link to the advice elsewhere on here but I'm not tech savvy enough for that!

Hello!
Just so you know, you will need to get a second guinea pig as guinea pigs need to be kept in pairs in order to be happy & healthy! :)
A Midwest cage is a fine option, could be bigger. You may not want to put the divider in, as the guinea pigs will have more room to run around. Two Midwest cages would be even better or even a c & c cage. C & C cages are really cheap, fun, easy to build, and can be bigger then Midwest cages, so please consider that too.

Boars generally need more space than a pair of sows would. Having had two boars in a single Midwest the only reason I got away with it is because my two were a very, very well matched pair who were more likely to sleep next to each other than anywhere else, and I had them in two joined Midwests as soon as I could. I will always recommend the Midwest because it expands so easily, but from experience one for a pair of boars isn't a good idea.
As for expanding them, set the Midwest up so the ramp goes outwards. Something like a puppy playpen, the metal ones, take one of those and attach one end to one corner of the Midwest and then attach the other to the far corner. You could use cable ties, though that means the Midwest isn't as easily collapsed as it would normally be. You'd need to put down something for them to run around on unless you want pee and poop directly on the floor, but as expansion ideas work it's fairly easy done. There's probably more ways of doing it, too - that's just the one I floated around my head for a bit a couple years ago.

Good luck with your piggy/piggies. It's lovely to see you doing your research first. The forum is a really good place to start. There's lots of really helpful and interesting information in the guides which you can find by clicking on the Guinea Pig Guides section on the top bar.
