Best custom design for guinea pig cage?

Ahhhh they are beautiful …..what have you called the boys ?
They have a lovely set up from what you’re saying
It seems they are just settling in - it’s normal to worry and even be a bit ‘paranoid’ but you will be less worried and more confident as each day goes by
We are always here for advice, support and to see the adventures of these two beautiful boys 🥰
Fred and Gino

Fred is the one on the left with the black eye patch.

They are so adorable right now, Gino seems to be the more confident piggy but Fred seems to be the one asserting a little bit more dominance at the moment.

We are doing a clean on their cage tonight as its gotten a bit messy and possibly extending it out to be a 6x3 cage, we still need to fully arrange things to fit around their zoomies etc but when we're comfortable with how we've finally got everything sorted i'll post a photo of their little mansion and hopefully in the weeks/months to come some more photos of the adorable little boyos

i wouldn’t recommend that you fully clean and rearrange at the same time at any time going forward.
At the moment you might be ok though. Your boys will be in a two week period of establishing their hierarchy anyway.
The issue is if you change cage size you are creating new territories. Creating new territory causes them to go into another period of reestablishing the hierarchy - not something you want to encourage going forward!

Equally, fully cleaning a cage can also cause an issue and increased dominance (new territory). We recommend you clean only half the cage at time. That way the most of the cage still smells of them and still recognised as their territory so can help minimise.
Also be aware that over cleaning a boar cage can make it smell more. The more you clean, the more they will scent mark; the more it will smell.

Ah, will just do a partial/spot clean tonight then half of the cage cleaned in a couple days then the other half a few days after that?

So much to learn!

going forward should that always be the case of doing half the cage at a time? how frequently should we aim to do it with boars?

Certainly while they are teens/young adults then it is best practice, but something to play by ear.

I don’t do half and half anymore for my 6 year old boar pair and haven’t done for several years.
(My other two boys are separated so have never had to worry about half and half with them as they had nobody to fight with (given they’d already fought with each other and were separated!))

As a mother of boars, I recommend what we call "stink cushions". Basically don't get washed and are gross :)) that's why I prefer fleece liners because you can rotate what's cleaned.

This sounds incredibly useful but disgusting at the same time XD.

Our cage is lined with fleece so should be easy enough to do half and half, i will have to consider this stink cushion idea and give it a go! i'm assuming you place 1 or both stink cushions in the recently replaced fleece areas?

My boys have got humping toys (baby safe plushies). I only ever wash one at a time. They get groomed, dragged around, used as pillows and of course humped. Every day when we spot clean they get scattered but inevitably end up in the same corner. We call them Sir George's harem (he does share occasionally)
