Best Indoor Cage

Hi, I have 2 guinea pigs, I may be getting more! I was wondering what cages everyone recommends. The cage can be max 120cm long or completely different like the little friends 2 storey corner cage! Price limit woulkd be about £100 but cagesd above this price arer welco!e too! Many thanks

Minimum for two piggies is 120cm (or a 2ft x 4ft c&c), RSPCA guidelines. Bigger is always better however.

On littlepetwarehouse you can get a decent 120cm cage for cheaper than most places or on zooplus the xxl skyline maxi is £35 I believe and that's actually 120cm.

C&c cages are amazing, very flexible to your space requirements and a 2x4 is a nice size for two pigs, they are also inexpensive compared to shop bought cages. Pigs need a lot if space and you should most definitely not get more pigs if you cannot offer this space.

You could not have more than 2 piggies in a 120cm cage even with floor time, it would be cruel, sorry but it would.

I would only have 2 piggies and I have decided that when I buy the cage I will buy the largest playpen I can find and attach it to the cage so the piggies have loads of room. Would an 140 long cage be okay?

Going by this guide http://www.guineapigcages.com, the 140 could maybe have 3 piggies in it. I personally would only use the 140 for two, the 160 would be better for 3. But that's as much as you could go to with commercial cages really.
I have the largest play pen I could find and I don't really find it big enough, but at the same point my two boys have a 2x5 cage plus the run

I have a 140cm cage with 2 sows in it and I would definitely not put a third i ! There is plenty room for 2 to play around and to get away from each other if they wish. I just feel 3 would make it more cramped and I wouldn't feel happy in myself keeping 3 in there

2 x 4 is the minimum for 2 guinea pigs. I always like to get bigger so i suggest you do 2 x 5 for extra room. IT would be around 150 x 60cm

I have to second a C&C cage, they are so flexible, fairly cheap and easy to build. I love mine!

Why don't you make one to fit into the space you have? Get some wood and wire it takes a bit of preparation and time but well worth it. X
