Best Place to Buy Good Quality Hay

I'm looking for a place to buy hay which is nice and green and really good quality, preferably Timothy Hay. Currently I use Oxbow Timothy and it's great and really green and smells great but it's so expensive. I tried the samples from Hay For Pets and I was really disappointed it was almost brown, didn't smell of anything and the Pigs didn't even touch it. Is there a place to buy hay which is really nice and green and of similar quality to Oxbow?

Have you tried the quality of your local equine suppliers ? they tend to stock locally produced hay which is always nicer (:

I am surprised by that as I get my hay from hay for pets and my little ones love them. You can try the hay experts as they do a wide range but they are pricey.

Maybe I just got a bad batch? I will probably try Hay For Pets again or buy from Willow Warren which seems to stock really nice Timothy Hay.

We use Alfalfa Kings Timothy hay available from P@H but it's 7.99 for 1.8kg.

How many kilo's do you use a month?

We have four piggies now so we go through a bag every week - 10 days.

Before, with two adult boars, a bag would last at least 10 days - two weeks.
