Best scales?

Our piggie Carlo had dental surgery last week and had his post-op check today. He seems a lot brighter and there doesn’t seem to be any problems other than him not gaining the weight he lost back yet. He hasn’t lost any more but the vet said we should keep an eye on it in case it drops again. Are there any scales anyone recommends for piggies?

You need some digital kitchen scales.

Weighing piggies weekly is part of routine care but should be done daily when there are health concerns as it enables you to more closely monitor hay intake and step in and syringe feed more quickly (and then know you are syringe feeding enough).

Do be aware that regaining lost weight takes a lot longer. I would not expect to him to have regained lost weight yet (if he had lost a significant amount) if he only had surgery last week. It's great he hasn't lost any more weight!
