We'll be travelling to my parents for Christmas and we are taking the pigs with us as no one is in our area for Christmas to baby sit. Which carrier would you recommend for the journey?

It's only an hour drive but I obviously want them to be comfortable. Something that would also minimise any mess and hay spilling out of the carrier into the car would be good too.

Would you recommend 1 carrier for each pig or 1 for both pigs together(we have 6 month old boars, they have never fought and adapt to changes really well due to disruption beyond our control when they were first adopted by us).

I have a 100cm cage which I use as a hospital cage - but I also use it to travel my two boars together when necessary. They fought when placed in a carrier so I thought it better to give them more space, and it works well. I cover the cage with a blanket which makes them feel secure - plus they have lots of hay to snuggle in to.

Ours boys always travel togther, and spend most of a journey trying to sit on top of each other.
We recently tried an expanding material carrier, that looked amazing, unfortunately Hector decided it tasted amazing!
We now have an amazon basics pet carrier(hard case). Most of the hay we find in the car comes from buying hay or tacking hay on holiday, not the carry case.
