best way to introduce 2 females?

So My GF came home the other day with another adopted Female, Needless to say I was not happy... I was not in the mood for 3 of them.. my question is what is best way to introduce 2 females, the first neutral meeting did not go so well as blind lucy showed her dominance and snapped at her... I told my GF I am not seperating them forever, Not cleaning 2 cages and so on. IF they dont get along one of them has to go...

so is there any tips for introducing 2 females so that they get along?

Ive never introduced females so not sure but when I introduce males I put the cages so they can talk for a few days or more depending on how there reacting. Then I will let them meet(2 at a time) on neutral territory for short amounts of time then gradually increase and eventually I let them meet all together. Then if that's ok I put them in the cage together. :-) hope that helps

Your blind piggy might be afraid of suddenly being with another piggy. Did your new piggy retaliate or accept the snapping? House them close to each other to get them used to the smells and sounds for a while then introduce them again in neutral territory. If there is a bit of snapping that is totally normal and just dominance issues which will be sorted if you leave them to it. Only separate if blood is drawn or if it becomes constant bullying over more than one day and one pig is distressed, can't get to food etc.
Are your original two a girl and a boy?

I think a great way to bond them is to bath them all together. They will all smell the same that way. If you do not want to do that then you must remember that you always have to introduce them on neutral ground. Never just put a new piggie in the cage. The others will feel they have to defend it. The best way is to section off an area they have not been in and add hiding places so they can make a quick get away if they need to. It can be done but you need to be patient.

Yes the original 2 are a boy and a girl... The first time they met was on neutal ground and LUcy (blind) really showed her dominance. Right away buddy and the new one got along with no problem.. Lucy is just high maint because of her being blind. She still snaps at buddy at times to when she is all stressed out, very whinny, always has been though, just how she is i guess...

I agree with piggyme - take it very slowly and give Lucy time to get to know the newbie and adjust to her.

You should have 2 cages next to eachother so the piggies can get to know eachother a bit but not actually be able to have physical contact. Do this for at least a week, maybe 2 weeks at most, then take them all out for 10 minute sessions together, then separate the again. add about 5-10 minutes to every session they spend together, and assuming they do not fight at all, once you get to the point where you can have them together for an hour or more you can put them in the same cage together and see how that goes.
