Sadly, my little beautiful Bethan has passed away peacefully in my arms earlier today after a short illness and despite round-the-clock care. I am sure that there will be a new bright, twinkling star in the sky tonight, but the day has gone dull without her bright aby personality lighting up the living room with her cheer and antics! The Tribe and the other groups have gone very quiet with Bethan gone; she was just touching four years.

Betty's original mummy, who I have been fostering her for over the last two years, and I are both still quite upset at the suddenness of it all and are missing her badly; it was impossible not to fall instantly in love with the cheeky little lady, as most visitors to the Tribe can attest. There are so many happy memories, but right now, the sense of loss is too great to fully appreciate them all!

Bethan girl, who could forget that beautiful, cheeky face! I know you are looking down on us all from that wonderful field in heaven along with so many other special piggies who have left us this week.

You were very special and will live on in the memories of your mummys who loved you very much and so many of The Tribe's followers who have spent the past few years laughing and enjoying your antics.

Wiebke, you, the rest of The Tribe and Bethan's original mummy have my heartfelt condolences. I know just how heartbroken you must be. You would have done anything and everything for her, I know that and it's a blessing she could leave surrounded by those who loved her so much. It takes time to heal but one day you'll be able to enjoy those beautiful pictures and stories once again and just spend time remembering your little, energetic pellet monster!
 
Its so difficult to put into words how much happiness Bethan brought to us on the forum, so we will leave that to MerryPip who has said more than we could. We will remember her as in the picture below and we are sure that she's catching the pellets over the bridge as we speak...

Oh gosh, I have already shed a tear today but these photos have welled me up again.

Bethan may have been a petite girl but she was beautiful with a huge personality. I am one of the lucky ones who has had the honour of meeting and having a cuddle with Bethan. She certainly will leave a hole in the Tribe.

Sleep tight precious girl. You will be sadly missed by many.

She was gorgeous! I'm sorry for your loss. Hope the tribe give you lots of piggy cuddles! R.I.P little Bethan!

I loved seeing her photos with her face full of different expressions, her character really shone through.

:( She was a gorgeous piggie, and the master at catching a flying pellet!:D I can't believe it. I have gone all glossy eyed; which is before I start to cry. She was just so pretty, I am so sorry for your loss, R.I.P Gorgeous Bethan. Sleep well. :bye:
 
I am so so sorry Wiebke, Bethan was a very special little girl and will be missed by us all. Hope you and her other mum are ok.

I was so sorry to hear this unexpected news. I was also fortunate enough to have met beautiful Bethan, and she was a small pig with a huge personality.

My thoughts are with you Wiebke. RIP dear Bethan.
 
Thank you all for your sympathies. It is still only just sinking in fully, as there is no little cheeky white face around, making sure that she didn't miss out on anything...
 
My Lola is the same, I think it's just Abbys, if there's trouble to be found - little Lola is right in the middle of it!

Oh what a shock for you, i am so very sorry. It seems like our forum has lost lots of lovely piggies over the last few weeks x

The last few weeks have not been good ones. So many piggies have passed away. The darkest time of the year is never a good time, but this year it seems to have been worse. :(
 
Aaaah, so very sorry Wiebke. I know you'll have done absolutely everything you could have. She was a lucky little piggy to have a mum like you. Hugs xx
 
@Wiebke I was so sorry to hear about Bethan. She was such a character from what we saw, so I am sure you and her tribe will miss her terribly. These little creatures are so endearing and take a piece of your heart each time one goes to the rainbow bridge. I still miss each of the little darlings I have lost over the last 15 years. Big hugs
 
I am so sorry to hear about your sweetheart Bethan, she sounded and looked like a special pig to look after - she was lucky to have had you as a mummy. RIP sweetie xx
