Over the last 4 weeks Betsy has lost weight. She is normally around the 1230-1290 range depending on whether she has had had a wee, been scoffing grass etc etc and at one point topped the scales at 1320 when she had been out on the grass all week (all piggies had a weight spike that week). Today she weighed in at 1187g down 170g since 4 weeks ago. Last week I was a bit concerned but thought I would wait another week to see if she gained any weight or not. She seems happy in herself, is eating and weeing and pooping OK but there is something going on so I am taking her to see Mark on Friday morning at 9.25. She passed her health check today with flying colours so that is good.

Good luck at the vets, lets hope the weight loss is just down to the heat.

Best of luck at the vets, hope Betsy is ok! We have Clover and Jezebel booked in for their first health check tomorrow, need to see what the vet says about Clover's hoppity limp on her back left leg...

Hope you get on okay at the vets, Tom and Mini send Betsy their best wheeks!

Sending healing vibes to Betsy and hugs to you. Hope you get on okay on Friday, I am thinking of you. X

Sending her lots of love, please let us know how she gets on, well worth a check i think x

Thanks everyone! I am very worried about Betsy she is my absolute favourite piggy of all time! I know you shouldn't have favourites but Betsy stole my heart along time ago.

Hiya, just caught up with this thread. Come on Betsy... have you borrowed mummy’s slimming world app? :hmm:
You’re a gorgeous piggy & don’t need to lose weight. Good luck at the vets on Friday. Let us know how you get on. Fingers crossed everything will be ok. Hugs x

Sending you huge hugs Jacky, it's crappy when they aren't good. Hope it's nothing to worry about and you get her sorted. Sending lots of healing vibes!:hug::hug:

Hope all goes well tomorrow.
Betsy’s the one I wanted to sneak home with me yesterday so I’m really rooting for her.
And the lovely Dennis as well - especially as he’s a mirror image of Jemimah

Thanks every body. I've just put her in the travel basket with Dennis and I noticed Betsy has a slight discharge which I didn't notice at her check the other day so that may be the answer why she's been losing weight. Hopefully the vet will know.

Well folks we are just back from the vet and the vet thinks she has a UTI after a very thorough examination. So Betsy is on a 7 day course of the delicious Baytril.:vom: She took her first dose very well and then quickly gobbled up a piece of lettuce afterwards (can't say a blame her really!). Pro-C in about an hour or so. I only need to take her back for another check if she's lost more weight or I'm worried about her.

Fingers crossed the Baytril gets on top of it for little Betsy! Sending lots of hugs Jacky xx
