Betsy's lost weight - vet visit Friday

Hi Betsy, Cocoa here, I know lots about medicine. Hoomans think baytril is yucky for us, but actually it’s not too bad. But that’s our guinea pig secret :whistle:
So... pull a yucky baytril face & take it well, then you’ll get lots yummy treats. Works for me every time...

Baytril is yummy I LOVE IT:drool:. I've only had 2 doses so far and I lick my lips after it. I get given a treat after it too. This morning after I came back from seeing Uncle Mark the very nice vet man, I had a lovely piece of lettuce immediately after it and tonight I had a scrummy piece of cucumber. Then a little while after I had 3 syringes of something lovely I think my Hooman Slave called it bro see or pro see or something like that. Anyway I was reaching out for the syringe for that it was so yummy!

I get lots of yummy treats. I'm hoping Hooman Slave is giving us the treat box again tomorrow. My favourite things to find in the hay are pea flakes, pepper, cucumber and grapes.

Keep up the good work in persuading your Slaves that you need lots of treats!

Ahhh Betsy you’re totally gorgeous, I’d forgotten how pretty you are. I’m hoping for grated carrot tomorrow & some dry oats. And of course.... cucumber... have a good nights sleep & keep on taking your medicine, I’ll be taking mine first thing too....

Hello Slaves and Piggies

I refused point blank to come out of my hay cube this morning cos I like it in here. So Hooman Slave had to give me my medicine while I was still sat inside it. I don't care that it was a bit tricky for her. As I said before I like sitting in my hay cube!

Today I didn't want to leave my nice tunnel. So I stayed in it while my Hooman Slave gave me my medicine. I took it like a good girl. I don't actually mind Battyrilla (or whatever it's called) it's not that bad and I get something yummy afterwards.

That is how it should be done Betsy, you make sure momma treats you like a princess as your poorly and should be able to do what you want while you are. I'm glad you like the Baytril and I hope you are feeling better soon! Let me know if momma slave starts doing anything you don't want to!

Thank you very much or saying you will come along with your piggy napping nap and have me live with your girlies. I really couldn't as I wouldn't leave the love of my life Dennis and I am sure you wouldn't mind slipping him into your bag as well but he would miss everyone else and I am sure my Hooman Slave would notice if you pig napped all of us so I'm afraid that's not 'appening! We know it's a good place where we live and we don't want to go anywhere else.

Hello everyone

Here I am refusing to come out of my pipe this morning. I have now decided my pipe is my most favourite place for today.

Hooman Slave is getting a bit worried that I have lost more weight despite being a good girl and taking all my medicine. She is wondering whether to put me in "The Hopsicle Cage" inside so she can monitor what I eat and drink. On Friday when I went to see Uncle Mark the nice vet man (Hooman Slave thinks VERY nice vet man:love:) I weighed in at 1187g and this morning I weighed in at 1174g. I think she is being overly cautious myself. It isn't much weight I've lost and I do want a bikini bod!

You’re a good girl taking your meds but you have to eat as well.
If you were human I’d prescribe chocolate but for you there’s lovely pellets and hay.

My little Prince is still not eating by himself since the abscess in his chin was removed last Monday. So critical care still, though he would eat cucumber when being hand fed and he would eat some grass and hay (not much though). We think the antibiotic is causing him to lose his appetite. Last day today though so hopefully he'll pick up in the following days.
